Dutchman’s breeches (Dicentra cucullaria) is a delicate spring wildflower native to North America. It features finely divided, fern-like foliage and distinctive white, pantaloon-shaped flowers that dangle from arching stems, resembling old-fashioned trousers hung on a clothesline. Blooming in early spring, it thrives in rich, moist woodland soils and is an important nectar source for early pollinators.
